This document details the changes in NorthRow Release v1.96
Document checks processed by GBGIDscan via NorthRow will now lead to an additional report, generated by GBG becoming available on the UI. This is accessible by opening the document folder on a check from ‘Checks History’. The report will give full details on the checks that have been undertaken on the document and help breakdown why a document has passed or failed.
It is now possible for UI users to return ‘Archived’ checks from ‘Checks Archive’ to ‘Checks History’. This can be done by selecting the required check(s) and clicking the new ‘Unarchive’ button. Previously this functionality was only possible by contacting NorthRow support or by using API v3.
First Name and Last Name have been made mandatory fields for RemoteVerify requests. Previously, entering these fields was optional. This change has been enacted for the following reasons:
It enables the request email to be personalised, which gives the customer a better experience and leads to an increase in response rates
Including name details in the request will record the name in Checks History for RV checks that have not yet been responded to, meaning it is much easier to find, track & manage these checks.
In some circumstances the name detail cannot be extracted from the ID capture in RV meaning any subsequent checks such as for PEP/Sanctions, that rely on a name, may be compromised/not happen.
Rule 1650: Name Mismatch: Name returned by the RV check does not match the name given in the initial check has been improved. When this rule fires, you will now be able to see the original request name by clicking ‘More’ in the UI.
It is now possible to configure RemoteVerify to prevent users from accessing the service on Desktop Computers and Laptops. We have found that pass rates on documents are significantly lower where the webcam is embedded in a vertical screen and the applicant has to hold the document up to take a good capture. This is entirely optional, and can be activated by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
Changes have been made to the countries listed in Rules 1357 to 1362 which relate to the FATF Non-Cooperative Countries or Territories list and the EU list of tax havens.
This release also includes general maintenance and minor bug fixes. If you have any questions or comments on this or any other issue then please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01235 375 111 or send us an email to email@example.com
